The Canadian Ross Rifle was developed by Sir Charles Ross as a very accurate straight pull bolt action rifle. Th rifle was adopted by Canada a used during World War One until around 1916 when the Canadian Government adopted the Lee Enfield No1 Mk3 due to constant issues with the Ross Rifle. By 1916, the Ross had been perfected though but its reputation was already ruined from previous problems spanning over years. Here is a close look at the bolt being worked. This one was sporterized and is beleived to be a MKIII variant of the Ross Rifle.
