For this video (and some others), I decided to speak about my all-time favourite RTS (Real-Time Strategy) game: The Settlers!

This is Mission 25, but the purpose of this video is to give you Tips And Tricks on what you should do in general for ALL of your games :)

The Settlers is a game where your goal is to build up a prosperous society and conquer your enemies by taking their lands.

It might sound simple, but in order to do so, you will need knights to fight for you. The knights need weapons and shields. These can be forged by a blacksmith. The blacksmith needs refined iron slabs and coal from the mines. The refined iron slabs need to be prepared by the iron foundry. The iron foundry needs to get its iron and coal from the mines. The miners need food in order to work. Food can be provided by the butcher or the baker or given directly by the fisherman. The baker needs flour from the windmill. The windmill needs wheat from the wheat farmer. On the other hand, the butcher needs pigs from the pig farmer, who in turn feeds his pigs by getting wheat from the wheat farmer. All workers need tools which can be made by the Tool Maker. The Tool Maker needs wood and refined iron slabs (from the iron foundry) to craft his tools. The tools are used by most workers. All buildings need wood, and most also need stone. Stone can be mined underground or extracted from slabs of stone that are above-ground... oh and did I mention that the knights also need gold in order to fight better??? Gold can be mined underground, but miners need food... you get the idea by now!

The Settlers is an old-time classic which has withstood the test of time, and no other game in the world can compare to its simplicity and beauty.

After this masterpiece, Blue Byte made numerous sequels, but anyone who has played the sequels will honestly tell you that the original Settlers is the best version of them all~!~!~!
