Описание: The hawker stall is known for its charcoal grilled toast that is not commonly found in local hawker centres. Started by the founder at Lau Pa Sat in 1964, 2nd generation Mr Wong Lock Seng later shifted to Amoy St Food Centre in 1997. Sadly, he passed on 3 years ago and the stall has been succeeded by his wife and son William.

Despite her old age at 74, Mrs Wong persevered and held the torch with the son who has slight anxeity. She worries about his future, but for her son, she'll wants to be there to give him unconditional love and support.

Making a living may be a daily challenge but the duo keeps the artisan spirit - doing everything in the old school way. Mrs Wong takes pride in the Kaya jam that she makes. It's no wonder that her lightly charred grilled toasts and French toasts attract a steady stream of office workers. Pair the toasts with a cup of thick, aromatic Hainanese coffee to perks up your day!
