This video explains the process of generating UDIN (Unique Document Identification Number) for:
• Individual students
• Schools with multiple students across sessions

The Head of Institution (HOI) is the authorized user for generating UDINs. Secure login ensures only verified personnel can access the portal, maintaining authenticity.

Step 1: Login

The HOI navigates to the UDIN Login Page, enters Username & Password, and clicks Sign In. Successful login redirects to the UDIN Dashboard.

Step 2: Sending Data for Self-Declaration

On the Dashboard, the HOI clicks “Send student data to Self-Declaration portal/Undertaking portal.” This ensures transparency and compliance. Student data forwarded here is verified and consented, preventing misuse.

The HOI can select one or multiple students and click “Forward for Self-Declaration.” This confirms that the data is accurate and ready for declaration by the student or guardian.

Step 3: Acknowledgement of Verified Data

After verification, students’ details appear in the system. The HOI clicks “Acknowledge Verified Students Data & Send to SI/S.”
This list includes only verified entries with names and UDINs. The HOI reviews and forwards them to the Sub-Inspector (SI) for the next stage.

Step 4: OTP Authentication

When the HOI clicks Forward to SI, a message box opens and an OTP is sent to the registered mobile. The HOI enters the OTP and clicks Next.
For extra security, a second OTP is sent to the HOI’s Aadhaar-linked mobile. Entering this confirms the HOI’s identity.

This dual OTP process ensures only authorized heads can forward data, protecting sensitive information and maintaining accountability.

Step 5: UDIN Generation

After successful authentication, the system generates the UDIN. The HOI can access it via View Document, which opens the UDIN certificate.

The UDIN Certificate PDF includes:

School name and DISE code

Date & time of generation

Student code & bank details (Bank name, A/C No, IFSC)

Guardian’s name & contact

This document validates authenticity and supports processes like scholarship disbursement.

Step 6: Reviewing UDIN Certificates

On the HOI Dashboard, clicking “View Document (UDIN Certificate)” displays school-wise PDF files.

The HOI can:

See the total count of students under each UDIN

Use the Lock/Unlock option to access detailed student lists

Open View PDF Document for structured, verifiable student data

This ensures accuracy, oversight, and transparency before final submission.
