With the successful placement of the massive steel cofferdam, the Chongqi Yangtze River Railway Bridge has formally entered a new construction phase.
The Railway Bridge, built by #CREC, is the world's largest double-pylon double-cable-plane ballastless-track #cablestayed bridge. This bridge is a crucial connection along the #Shanghai, #Nanjing, and #Hefei high-speed rail routes. Spanning a total length of 4.09km, the railway bridge has a dual-level design for both road and rail. The upper level of this bridge comprises a two-way, six-lane, 100 km/h first-level roadway. The bridge's lower level hosts dual-line high-speed railways reaching 350 km/h and dual-line intercity railways operating at 250 km/h. The construction of this bridge will also stimulate further development in the #YangtzeRiverDelta region.
