The journalist – also known for hosting Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch – scooped her gong at the age of 19 when she was working in manufacturing.
Steph and four other winners reveal what it’s like lifting the prestigious award, and encourage manufacturers to put their names in the hat for next year’s ceremony.
Lifting the Energy & Sustainability title in 2024 was the first time that B&M Longworth had won a national award, reveals Tony Bannan.
And Alexia Williams of Rolls-Royce tells how she was surprised to get a regional title before she went one better by lifting the national award for Engineering Apprentice Rising Star.
