Conclusion – The Last of Us Part II on RTX 2080 8GB

The Last of Us Part II is still very playable on the RTX 2080 at 1080p with Very High settings. While there are occasional stutters and frame drops, the overall gameplay experience remains enjoyable—especially since it’s a story-driven single-player game rather than a competitive title.

During my testing, the average framerate stayed around 70 FPS, though the 1% lows dipped to 30 FPS, and sometimes even as low as 15 FPS in heavier scenes. Despite these drops, the experience is still immersive and doesn’t break the flow of the story if you’re not overly sensitive to performance hitches.

Overall, the RTX 2080 earns a “Still Playable” rating in CBR (CFI Benchmark Rating). Even when running close to the VRAM limit, this card delivers a solid and enjoyable gameplay experience for The Last of Us Part II.
