== MOOGFEST 2010 CIRCUIT BENDING COMPETITION ==

This is the first video demonstrating a circuit bent Transformers toy. What started as Optimus Prime was dissected and turned into a noisemaking machine with a few circuit bends.

The first bend is a feedback loop accomplished by routing one of the speaker outputs to the trigger for each of the noise-making buttons. This causes the sound sample to trigger itself in rapid succession.

The second bend is a pitch control. This is accomplished by changing the resistance in the R/C loop that controls the clock speed of the main IC. A potentiometer was added to give manual control of the pitch by speeding the IC up or down. Body contacts were added as well, and the two modes can be toggled with a simple switch.

Lastly a mini-headphone out was added to the unit for amplification or recording. Possible future mods include sticking an opto-resistor in front of one of the LEDs and using it as a tremelo.
