Railfanning Truckee! Feat. Ace Trio, 1943 Spirit of the Union Pacific, and a Fast Intermodal!

Описание: 1/1/26. This is a short, unplanned railfanning trip in Truckee, CA. Truckee sits just east of Donner Summit, on Union Pacific's Roseville Subdivision. Trains can be seen here traversing the pass, while most of them are Eastbound. I started off with Amtrak 5, the westbound California Zephyr with 2 nice P42's. UP's IOANP, a daily intermodal from Oakland, CA to North Platte, Nebraska, came flying around the curve. To my surprise, trailing 3rd facing backwards was 1943, THE SPIRIT OF THE UNION PACIFIC! This is my first time seeing this engine. Last was an uncommon Westbound manifest, with Tons of power, grinding up the grade. Thanks for watching this video.
