🔹 Mixing Containers with markers. To measure and mix your resin and hardener properly, get containers with mixing markers. Keep in mind that Craft Resin needs to be measured by volume, and not by weight!
🔹 Stirring sticks made of silicone or wood – these materials are the best for mixing. Make sure to stir your resin slowly in order to prevent air bubbles from forming.
🔹 Protective wear. Epoxy is sticky, therefore it’s important to protect your hands by wearing nitrile gloves. Protective eyewear like goggles will protect your eyes from splashes, and a respirator will ensure that you don’t breathe in any fumes, even though Craft Resin is non-toxic and safe to use.
🔹 A heat gun or butane torch – essential for getting rid of surface bubbles. Make sure not to heat the bubbles for too long in order not to overheat your resin!
🔹 Silicone moulds for casting – they make the demoulding process easier and quicker than any other kinds of moulds. If you create projects like jewellery or coasters - silicone moulds are a must!
🔹 A mat or a plastic sheet to cover your workspace and protect it from resin. Use masking tape for clean edges to block off areas you don’t want the resin to flow into.
🔹Add colour to your projects with Mica Powder, liquid pigments or alcohol inks to make the item vibrant and colourful.
🔹Embed items like flowers, stones or glitter to decorate your projects and make them unique and unforgettable!
🔹To make the demoulding process quicker and easier, use a mold release spray.
🔹After your project is done curing, use sandpaper or a polisher to smooth any rough edges or surfaces.
By using all of these tools when working on your epoxy projects, you’ll significantly improve the quality of your final result! Stay creative with Craft Resin and make the best of your art.
