The lumber industry is struggling to keep up to the high demands during the Covid pandemic. This has resulted in lumber prices soaring through the roof. Lumber sheeting and framing used in the building envelope has other issues such as mold/moisture, thermal efficiency, and warping.
The Greenstone ICE Panel is constructed from steel studs and EPS (expanded polystyrene) which is not conducive to mold growth, does not warp, eliminates thermal bridging, and provides a more energy efficient building envelope. Usually a premium cost when compared to lumber construction, customers are now seeing the ICE Panel being very competitively priced against traditional materials. When you consider the cost savings during construction together with the energy savings after completion, building with an alternative product becomes very appealing.
