Thief of Joy is an American rock and roll band formed in a garage in Sangerville, Maine in 2022. With a sound reminiscent of early 2000s indie rock, 90s grunge and 60s/70s psychedelia, the homegrown quintet built a reputation for their high energy rock shows in central Maine before recording a debut EP in a backwoods studio just south of the Appalachian Trail.

Band members include Mat Anderson (vocals, guitar), Nicholas Briggs (keys, guitar, vocals), Josh Bishop (bass), Jimmy Tirrell (drums) and Will Mallett (guitar, banjo, vocals).
