The School of Communication, Media and Information at Fundação Getulio Vargas, in partnership with FGV Direito Rio, FGV Conhecimento, Democracy Reporting International, and Agência Lupa, is promoting the event “Artificial Intelligence, Disinformation, and Democracy”, which will take place between December 4 and 5 at the FGV Cultural Center in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The occasion is part of the Media and Democracy project, with support from the European Union in Brazil.
The two-day event will debate the risks and potential of new technologies for democracy, covering regulatory challenges, innovative potential and ethical issues.
There will be four thematic panels attended by authorities from Brazil and the EU, experts in the areas of Communication, Law and Technology, as well as companies and the civil society
