Vision
A preeminent African Legal Aid Service committed to facilitating Access to Justice for all
Mission
Promotion, provision and coordination of quality, affordable, credible, sustainable, accessible and accountable legal aid services to the indigent, marginalized and vulnerable members of the society.
Core Function:
1) Establish framework for policies, laws and administrative measures to ensure sustainable and quality access to justice;
2) Provide quality, effective and timely legal assistance, advice and representation for the poor, vulnerable and marginalized;
3) Enhance access to justice through continuous legal awareness;
4) Promote and institutionalize the Paralegal Approach in the access of justice;
5) Promote use of Alternative and traditional Dispute Resolution mechanisms;
6) Establish an implementation, monitoring regulatory and support framework for the legal aid providers;
7) Facilitate allocation of fiscal, human and technical resources for legal aid and awareness services.
