Turn an easy-to-find reflector into "high fidelity light control". I've written numerous articles and authored several lessons and videos that demonstrate the best size, shape and convenience of this wonderful lighting tool.
Subtractive light management is not for the photographer who is brand new to studio lighting – it's for those that are looking to achieve subtle, nearly invisible enhancements in their studio work. WATCH THIS OVERVIEW, then you'll want to watch more in-depth videos on this channel.
You'll need to put this together yourself from separate products we show and will list below.
Good luck and Thanks for watching!

In the video I'm using three parts to make the ideal rolling GOBO
First, my wheeled short stand is a Photogenic Background Light stand. It's a heavy base with wheels and a telescoping vertical stand section. I've purchased a couple from B&H

If you go another direction, get the heaviest stand and wheels you can.
Next, The GOBO (which is a reflector) is from Photoflex and is a single 32" round pop-up. Shown is a White/Gold version which works very well. White/Black is a good choice too

Finally, you need the (fully offset) Boom Arm with reflector clips. Mine has always been a Bogen, or Bogen-Manfrotto. If you can't find one or order one, B&H Photo shows a GODOX version with the same features
