Gibson LG3 1949 played by Tom Punt | Demo

Описание: The LG3 model was introduced by Gibson in 1942 alongside the LG1 and LG2. These guitars were considered student guitars, due to their smaller shape. Not entirely justified, because the LG2 and LG3 are excellent guitars that feature X-bracing instead of the ladder bracing of the LG1. This greatly improves the guitar's tone, making it a very versatile instrument.

The LG3 is basically the same guitar as the LG2, but has a natural finish instead of a sunburst. The guitar has a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body and neck. The short scale and compact size make the guitar very easy to play, and the dynamic and responsive sound of the guitar is immediately noticeable. The subtle decorations on the body and neck make the LG3 a guitar with an understated but familiar appearance.

This 1949 Gibson LG3 is in excellent condition considering its age. The guitar has playwear and crackle that are to be expected from a 75 year old instrument, but the vintage charm that the LG3 radiates is unparalleled. The guitar has undergone a neck reset and refret, and the nut, bridge saddle and tuners have also been replaced. The original tuners are included in the vintage chipboard case.
