By using a mouse or a USB keyboard
1. Connect your Chromebook to a power source.
2. Plug in the mouse or the USB keyboard in any one of the available USB ports.
3. Mouse the mouse or press the key on the connected USB keyboard.
4. The machine should light up.

By using the keyboard
1. Plug your machine into a power source.
2. Locate the Escape (Esc) key, normally found in the top left corner of your Chromebook, and long-press it.
3. While holding the key down, press the Refresh (F3) key. On the keyboard, this is usually a circular arrow icon.
4. After 10 seconds, release the keys.

By using the Chromebook’s lid switch
1. Connect your Chromebook to a power source.
2. Close the Chromebook lid.
3. Wait for five seconds, then open the lid again.
