An altercation broke out between Chief minister BS Yediyurappa and one of the Panchamasali Mutt seers- Vachananda Swami at Davanagere. BSY was in Davanagere to attend a Lingayat convention as part of the Panchamasali Hara Jathre. Take a look at the war of words.
The verbal duel erupted when Vachananda Swami was addressing the gathering and said that quote 'Murugesh Nirani should get a Cabinet berth as he has been during your tough times.' unquote.
After the duel, Murugesh Nirani also spoke on the altercation and said that he and BSY share a good rapport.
BSY left the convention as he was unsettled by the Seer's words. Nirani further said that there was no possibility of rift between him and the seer. He said that a verbal duel erupted between BSY and the Swamiji which will be sorted out.
