Описание: This was the final elimination of Shorter Range Ballistic Missiles under the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty signed between US President Ronald Reagan and Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev in 1987. The treaty was historic in that it was the first that required the elimination of entire classes of nuclear weapons (not just reduction or limitation) and that it provided for each side to conduct on site inspections of the other to monitor compliance with the treaty provisions. This video was taken by a Soviet officer to document the final inspection. Key Soviet officials included Major Igor Kirichenko, the elimination site commander at SaryOzek, Colonel Petrenko, missile forces commander, Colonel Tchaikovsky, chief engineer for explosive demolition, and inspector escort Sr Lt Sergei Stuk, also Sergey Pyshkin, and Aledsandr Shevchenko. Several Kazakh government officials can also be seen in the video. Key United States officials from the On-Site Inspection Agency included US Navy Captain John Williams, Inspection Team leader, and Inspectors US Navy Chief Petty Officer Daniel Fodera, US Air Force TSgt Bill Leaf, and US Army SFC Dennis Gano. Eileen Malloy and other US State Department officials accompanied the US team.
