How's it going mates? Stoked to finally be uploading again. This time I got a chance to film my very first wedding! If you're an aspiring filmmaker, such as myself, I recommend you try to film one. It's very fast paced and great for experience. Anyways, thanks for inviting me out Ben and Karen! Truly thankful to be trusted to capture such a delicate life experience!
My gear:
Gimbal : This is my first video featuring some sort of external video stabiliser. I used the DJI Ronin-S this time; so, you should see some improvement in the realm of image stability since my Match Day video.
Camera: I still have the Canon 200d, also known as the SL2. Being that it only has a maximum fps of 60, I had to run optical flow on all clips that were slowed down, which in turn cause a tad bit of artifacting. It's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. Low light inside the chapel was a bit of an issue, being that canon in general is not exactly known for its low light capabilities, let alone the 200d series. Having to resort to a f/4 kit lens didn't exactly help either. I only had one battery for about 12 hours of shooting (mistake and a half). I was constantly charging during unimportant moments and free time.
Lenses:
I almost entirely shot this on a canon 18-55mm. The only exception being inside the chapel when I couldn't get close enough to be able to use it.
Software:
Strictly Adobe Premiere Pro; however, I feel like it's time to dabble in After Effects
P.S. in the future I'm going to try to upload travel videos so watch out for those :)
