How to make metal CASTING JIGS. DIY with PLASTER and CLAY!

Описание: This one took a while. Yes, 1 hour and 19 minutes is a VERY long video for a "HOW-TO", but this is an EXTREMELY detailed video so you can see exactly how to make these metal micro/vertical jigs. No steps are skipped.

When I decided I wanted to make my own, I found quite a few videos on the process, but they were very short and skipped many steps that are super important. I spent probably 30 - 40 working hours trying to figure this process out - piecing many YT video segments together to get it nailed down. I made probably 20-25 different molds, of which all but 2 were fails.

If you have all the materials (ie. lead melting pot, lead, plaster wire, hooks and paint), each jig costs roughly $0.35 - $0.55 to make!!!

One thing I missed in the video, you DO NOT need a lead melting pot to melt the lead. Lead melts at 624 degrees F, but steel melts at 2,200 degrees F. You can use a can from canned food over flame, but, the melting pot is the safest for sure.
