In this episode, we begin our study of Hebrews by exploring chapters 1–3 and the powerful theme of Christ’s supremacy. Hebrews presents Jesus as God’s final and complete revelation—greater than angels, greater than Moses, and greater than the entire Old Covenant system.
We examine how Jesus is described as the exact representation of God’s nature, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the eternal Son who is worshiped by angels and seated at the Father’s right hand. We also walk through the serious warning against drifting away from the gospel and reflect on the weight of our salvation—confirmed by signs, wonders, and the testimony of the Holy Spirit.
Finally, we consider Jesus as our merciful and faithful High Priest who suffered, defeated death, and now intercedes for us. Hebrews 3 reminds us of Israel’s unbelief in the wilderness and calls us to persevere in faith and encourage one another daily.
If Christ is truly supreme, then our response must be steady faith and daily perseverance.
