This video shows how to build your own wood carving stand. This is not a step by step tutorial but more of a time lapse. I have wanted to try a wood carving stand for some time, however some of the stands on the market can cost as much as $1500. This simple design is sturdy, easy to put together and allows you to have both hands available to make those precise cuts. This video was inspired by Alec LaCasse and the wood carving stand that he uses to carve his wood spirits. Alec was features in Wood Carving Illustrated in the summer 2019 edition.
