200,000 Sturgeon fish release into the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan

Описание: Sturgeons are the most endangered species group on earth.

These gentle giants have been around since the age of the dinosaurs, but are now on the brink of extinction due to overfishing, and habitat loss.

But we can still save sturgeons.

Baku Caviar is the world's first caviar brand that treats nature responsibly.

What differentiates us from all other caviar producers in the world - we are turning traditional caviar concepts into responsible luxury

Baku Caviar has initiated and successfully implements the program for restoring the wild sturgeon population in the Caspian Sea.

For every jar of caviar sold, we release 10 sturgeon fishes into the wild nature.

Our main mission is to preserve and restore the sturgeon population in the Caspian Sea and maintain the biodiversity of our ecosystem.
Here in the Neftchala region, where the Kura River flows into the Caspian Sea, this summer we had already released more than 200000 young Russian sturgeon to the wild.
This place has always been considered the "cradle" of sturgeons and this is where they flocked year after year to spawn.

We work closely with scientists, communities, authorities, and government to save these extraordinary fish.

Sturgeons are important in every river basin and country across their traditional range. We are aiming to rebuild their populations and invite you to join our efforts.
The best way forward is to stay environmentally responsible and not change your habits.
