Every year, Albanians from all over the world, belonging to the Albanian diaspora, return to their families in Albania and Kosovo. This return is particularly notable from countries such as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Austria. Often, they make this journey by car, and not just any cars; they are often exotic and striking vehicles that make the journey extra adventurous.
In the Balkans, the love for cars is naturally strong, but in Kosovo, this passion seems even more intense, perhaps because Kosovo has the youngest population group in Europe. This passion for cars is clearly evident during events such as the Diaspora Meeting, organized by the largest car enthusiasts community in Kosovo, Marrakli t Kerreve, for the Albanian diaspora and car enthusiasts. As soon as I read about the Diaspora Meeting on their page, I knew this was an event we couldn't miss. Despite the four-hour journey from Tirana, Albania, we decided to head to Kosovo for this event.
Although the journey turned out to be longer than expected and we encountered some obstacles along the way, the event was worth every second of the trip. Actually, that's an understatement. I have never experienced such an impressive, cool, and extensive parking lot meeting in my life.
