Seeking justice for children living with Rare Disorders and NCDs at CSW70 - a message from Brazil

Описание: The 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) will be celebrated in New York from 9 - 19th March 2026.

The priority theme for CSW70 is "Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices, and addressing structural barriers".

A child's right to health should never depend on where they are born. And yet, justice for children and families living with Rare Disorders and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) is out of reach in many countries.

This video message from Associação Brasileira Addisoniana (ABA) and Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP) highlights the voices of women and children living with once such condition, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) in Brazil, and raises awareness of the actions needed to promote and respect the rights of every child to life and health.
