The 2025 Oundle 20 Mile Road Race.
I have to admit I had never heard of Oundle before discovering this race - I wanted a 20 as a training run for Newport Marathon, which in turn is a training run for The Lap. It's a lovely part of the country, hosting a cracking event on semi-closed quiet country lanes. Right up my street (apart from all the hills!).
This was my 3rd 20 mile event, but I've never "raced" one before so didn't know how to pace it. I set a challenging target of sub 3 hours which is slightly faster than my marathon PB from 2 years ago. It was tough towards the end.
