Yet the message of the gospel reminds us that our strength does not come from our own ability, but from the grace of God. In Micah 7:7–9, the prophet declares a powerful confidence in the Lord even in the midst of darkness. Though he acknowledges failure and hardship, he boldly proclaims, “Though I fall, I will arise; though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” This passage reveals a deep trust that God’s grace is able to restore, lift, and guide His people back into His light.

Grace gives believers the courage to wait on God, even when circumstances seem difficult or unclear. It reminds us that falling is not the end of the story, because God’s mercy is always ready to raise us again. The prophet teaches us that even when we face opposition or discipline, we can remain confident that the Lord will ultimately bring justice, restoration, and victory.

This truth is further strengthened in Romans 8:31, where the Apostle Paul asks a powerful question: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” When we understand the grace of God working in our lives, fear and discouragement lose their power. God’s grace assures us that no challenge, enemy, or obstacle can ultimately defeat those who trust in Him.

This sermon invites believers to reflect on the sustaining power of God’s grace, grace that lifts us when we fall, strengthens us when we are weak, and leads us through darkness into His marvelous light. By the grace of God, we can rise above failure, overcome opposition, and walk confidently in the assurance that God is on our side and His purposes for our lives will prevail.
