Budget AMC 360 Build: Part 1 Short Block

Описание: In this episode, I put together the short block of my AMC 360 for the Big Chief, my 1979 Jeep Cherokee. I removed the ridge at the top of the cylinders with a ridge reamer. Then honed the cylinders with a dingle ball hone. Then I hand polished the crank. After that, I installed a summit 8600 camshaft, the freshly polished crank, the main bearings and measured the clearances using plastic gauge. Then I put in the summit racing timing set, oil pump, measured the pump gear clearances, and installed the water pump and harmonic balancer. After that (and recovering from the piston ring fiasco) I installed the pistons with new rings, and explain how to orient the rings in the AMC 360. Hope you enjoy!
