Hiii all! Thanks to a lovely mutual I found out that the SIDE LINE album includes who sang what in the album notes- and I happen to own that LP! That means I could finally make this video, even though this translation was done months ago. More SIDE LINE content to come!
This song is speculated to be Akiko Ikuina's initial debut song, but like "Makkana Jitensha" on "KICK OFF," was offered to the group itself for whatever reason. I assume it was similar to Eri's case-- Akiko really had no intention of going solo. But she was overwhelmingly popular at first, so she really had no choice, especially after she was added to Ushirogami Hikaretai a few montha after the song's release. Fun fact-- a solo version likely exists, as it was used on the very first commercial campaigns for Lawson's Karaage chicken!
