Eric Jackson - 2019 IJA Individual Championships - Silver Medal

Описание: More drops than I would like, but I'm still incredibly proud and humbled to be able to share the stage with such skill, talent, and poise.

I little insight into my mental state backstage. When Zak finished his act I immediately knew that his was Gold, but had no idea how the rest of us would stack up to try and take Silver and Bronze. When they called Elia for Bronze I thought that I was knocked out of the running. Bennett did a killer set and Nagata-san had one of my favorite routines of the festival, and it was incredibly beautiful. I honestly don't believe that I deserve silver based on the execution of my routine, but when reviewing the scores I was found to be just 1 point higher than third place, so maybe that's fair, I don't know. I know there are controversies every year with who places where, and I just want everyone who thinks that I didn't deserve Silver to know, I feel you, dude.

All in all, it was a wonderful, stressful, exciting, humbling, validating experience. Ironically, I feel really alone at IJA festivals, and this was the first fest where I felt a real amount of love that didn't allow for those lonely feelings to creep in very often, and I thank my best juggling friends for making it the best IJA yet (for me).
