This Date & Walnut Cookies is perfect for a sweet treat or snack, and the combination of dates and walnuts provides a deliciously sweet and crunchy texture. I have deconstructed my Date & Walnut Roll recipe to make these beauties

Ingredients: (1 cup = 200 ml)
Filling:
1 Cup (150 gms) Soft Dates - Chopped
½ Cup (50 gms) Walnuts - Chopped

For the Dough:
½ Cup (100 gms) Vanaspati – Dalda/ Butter/Ghee
1/2 Cup (65 gms) Powder Sugar (you can make powder from grain sugar too)
1 + ½ Cup (210 gms) Maida/ All Purpose Flour
1/8 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
4 Tbsp Milk

While dividing the 2 :
Cookie Dough balls = 18 gms each
Date & Walnut Balls = 8 Gms each

In pre-heated Oven, bake at 170 Degrees Centigrade for 15 to 18 minutes, till slight golden colour on top. Do keep a watch after 10 minutes. Place in middle Rack of oven with both the heating elements on.
Bake in pre-heated Vessel, on Gas Stove on Medium Flame for about 15 to 20 minutes. Keep a watch after 12 minutes of baking
Once cooled after baking store in Air Tight container. Remains good for 2 weeks at Room Temperature
Net Weight after baking: 575 gms (24 pcs)
