About the trip:

We had been to Jalgaon recently for visit to our kuldaivat Shri Ganpati Bappa situated in Tarsod.

The Tarsod Ganpati Mandir, located about 8 km from Jalgaon, is a revered spiritual landmark with roots dating back to 1662. Founded by Moreshwar Hanumant Deshmukh, the temple is uniquely situated at the intersection of three villages: Tarsod, Nashirabad, and Murarkheda.

Historically, the temple served as a sanctuary for Maratha and Peshwa warriors, who would pray here for victory before northern military campaigns. Its sanctity is further elevated by its association with great saints like Sai Baba and Gajanan Maharaj, who are said to have visited the site. The temple's architecture features a famously small entrance, teaching devotees humility as they must bow to enter. Today, it remains a vital pilgrimage site, especially popular for newlyweds seeking blessings and thousands of devotees who gather for the annual fair on Tripurari Purnima.

We also visited Swami Narayan mandir followed by visit to Padmaalay, an old temple of Lord Ganesh located in Erandol near Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
