Star Ocean: Anamnesis - Bride Myuria Custom Story Event

Описание: With the shutdown of Star Ocean: Anamnesis on its fifth year of operation in 2021, I lost hope of seeing Myuria getting a wedding variant in any way. Thankfully, I wasn't the only one to feel that way, and a big shout out to cleru for drawing Bride Myuria in the Wedding Event room depiction (the rec room/lounge of the player character Captain's starship that is the normal setdrop for imagine spots the Captain has for several ladies, such as Bride Nel and Bride Maria).

Thank God there was a rough but passable means to make something close to the game event style through Windows Movie Maker, Eurostyle font (close resemblance to the game, since I couldn't find a way to access the font from local and JP versions of the APK), reused Myuria's English lines from Star Ocean: The Last Hope for blips in the style of some of the later JP-only voice over drops, and several reused Anamnesis game assets for emoticon sound effects, shipboard ambience, and music.

Finally in the Japanese version of this event (through Google Translate), I took the liberty of adding a few Fire Emblem: Heroes lines from Myuria's Japanese voice actress in the Catria wedding variant role she played in that game in accord with a Myuria line from Anamnesis/The Last Hope.

All this just to get the one story I wanted to see in the game; the Captain and Myuria talking about the latter's wedding that never transpired and helping the widowed bride move forward. Star Ocean's one bride-centric character not even having her own wedding banner, variant, and story event was criminal, which is precisely why I made this custom event: to do what Square/Tri-Ace refused to do.

The last bridal event story of significance was in year 3 of Anamnesis, featuring Cliff and Mirage faking a newly-wed couple to disable a jammer. That event can be found (sped-through super fast) by another player at another YouTube video link here:    • スターオーシャンアナムネシス 二重想 積み重ねた想いの形 ストーリー  

The Anamnesis novel Beacon of Hope is referenced throughout this as well, particularly with GFSS-3214F named the Lumière by Verda upon winning a unanimously agreed vote from the Captain and his new crew (and in the book, the Captain is depicted as a man, but no name is given to him while he speaks in full viewable sentences from his POV). Another callback to the novel is the 'harassment point system' that is set as a verbal punishment note for mental shame and is treated like humor for the book/game, particularly with repeat offenders Coro and rarely the Captain; this novel detail is actually carried and directly referenced in the game itself in a few events, most notably the first Summer Event (the one that debuts Summer Myuria) with having the Captain choose an option that is a crude enough joke on appearance that Evelysse chalks up harassment points by number ascribed to the Captain.

A final novel reference also features Myuria as the pilot of the ship (one of the first summoned to the crew) who has a tendency to be the "emergency brakes" and point out logic in emotional impulsive actions suggested by Evelysse and other crew members.

Bonus novel detail that's not depicted here: Played for humor, Myuria tends to fry Coro with a bolt of lightning symbology when he gets too annoying to the crew or her. This makes the robot stop messing around for a little while before he gets loud and wacky again. Even Nel gets in on this, kicking Coro like a soccer ball when he attempts to interrupt the Captain's inspirational speech to his crew at their new foe they were hunting, with Nel silently observing and then pretending that nothing happened when the Captain was engrossed in his speech but only heard Coro make a briefly silenced sound of some sort.
