The American Raptors opened up Round 2 of the 2024 Super Rugby Americas season with a match against Pampas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Pampas used eight tries to down the Raptors 52-17 and move to 2-0 on the season. Pampas rattled off four unanswered tries in the first 32 minutes of the match to take a 26-0 lead before the Raptors made something happen offensively. Mo Vainikolo scooped up a ball that spit back out of a scrum and got the Raptors on the board for the try. Francisco Quinn drilled the conversion to cut Pampas' lead to 26-7 before the half. The Raptors struck first in the second half with a Quinn penalty goal, but Pampas on their offense once again. They scored three more tries in the second half to the Raptors' one to secure the victory in the Round 2 contest.
