Sensex crashed over 1400 points today as the Indian equity market continued to plunge for the fifth straight session today amid weak global cues. The rising interest in US markets and fears of the US Fed tapering down bond purchase program is one of the prime reasons for stocks crashing. The Nifty IT sub-index fell 2.4 per cent to hit a seven-week low, after shedding more than 7 per cent last week.
