Backpacking The San Gabriel Mountains

Описание: Long Beach Joey and I went up to search for the missing hiker again but also explore and look for some historical sites. Along the way we find wild edibles, and a rare reptile to these parts, and some of the mot beautiful sights around. We went super lite, due to the fact we had to carry all our water on our backs and at 2.2 pounds per liter, it adds up fast. There is also a stove/fire ban on the entire range for the rest of the years, so we took (so called) energy snacks and a few things just for fuel. I was running on zero sleep, due to working nights and leaving at 2am.
You may ask yourself, why do we do this? Well, the fish are not biting at present time, and it blows away sitting at home playing with your phone like 90% of people now days.
(They city, and it's inhabitants) is not the world I grew up in and around. Out here, in the mountains, on the trails, at lakes, streams, at the ocean, I can and ALWAYS, find places I recognize, meet the kind of people I can relate to. I've met thousands of awesome people, made as many awesome friends over the decades. Here, is where I fit in, where I feel at home.
I am a child of the 70's and 80's, send me to my room with no dinner, I will make mischief of one kind, then another and go to WHERE THE WILD THINGS ROAM! :-)
