Summary : The drama will tell the story of a man who starts out as a gangster at Han River’s Mapo Port, the hub of logistics and economy in Joseon Dynasty, becoming a legend of Joseon solely with his body and skills. Takryu depicts the turbulent fate of Jang Si Yul (Ro Woon) who hid his past to become a neighbourhood gangster, the righteous merchant Choi Eun #ShinYeEun, and the honest police officer Jung Chun #ParkSeoHam against the backdrop of Gyeonggang, which has become a lawless land in the late Joseon Dynasty. Director Choo Chang-min, who is challenging himself with directing his first series since the movie #Masquerade that mobilized 10 million viewers, plans to capture a delicate view of the times and a three-dimensional narrative. Writer Chun Sung-il will also return to the historical drama series after 14 years since #TheSlaveHunters and plans to present a new genre of fun.
