Slide film is notoriously unforgiving, but I gave it a go anyway. In this video, I take on Kodak Ektachrome across two days of street photography in London, exploring the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
We dive into the history of colour reversal film, including a nod to the legendary Kodachrome, and talk about why slide film like Ektachrome is so challenging to shoot, from colour shifts to limited dynamic range.
To warm up, I shot a roll of Kodak Tri-X, and we finish with a bonus roll of expired Fujifilm Superia 400. All of it was shot on the Canon AE-1, my go-to 35mm camera for days like this.
If you're into 35mm film photography, street photography, or want to see how slide film performs in real-world conditions, this one's for you.
