NightKaps are a series of DJ mixes where I’m your host, finding that 1 hour a day when all are asleep to get a quick mix in.
For Nightkaps Vol. 20 and above, the playlists are primarily completely random, with no prep work done to the tracks other than sorting by key. I download what’s on the latest trending chart, let Rekordbox analyze and set the hot cues for each track, and press record. All the songs you hear were released typically within days if not the same day as the video was uploaded. Basically, dj’ing blind and hearing them all for the first time in the video. I’ll throw an older ID in here and there if I feel like it’s a good compliment to what’s playing.
Mixing tracks you don’t know, mistakes will be made but if a vid does makes it up onto YouTube. you’ll know it’s not too bad :) thanks for taking the time to watch!
