Wednesday, the Panthers trailed 2-0 in the first on goals by Sebastian Aho, but got three quick ones in the second to take the lead. Matthew Tkachuk, Evan Rodrigues, and Anton Lundell all scored for a 3-2 lead going into the third.

In the third, Carolina tied it — but a fantastic play from Sasha Barkov led to a terrific goal from Carter Verhaeghe for the lead. Sam Bennett ended it with an empty net goal.

Sergei Bobrovsky had 20 saves.
