Balangir Police have arrested a notorious father-and-sons robbery gang involved in a series of house thefts across the town. After nearly two years, the accused — Gajapati Suna, his elder son Ravi Suna, and younger son Subham Suna — were finally nabbed.

The trio carried out robberies at 11 locations under three police station limits, including Balangir Town, Puintala, and Lakshmijor. In one major case from Gandhinagar area, they broke into a locked house and looted gold jewellery and cash worth over ₹1 crore in February 2024.

Police successfully solved the case using CCTV footage and advanced fingerprint analysis. The arrest has sparked wide discussion in Balangir over the shocking involvement of a father and his two sons in organised crime.
