We begin by understanding the concept, origin, and constitutional basis of PIL under Articles 32, 226, and 39A, and how it expanded access to justice by relaxing the doctrine of Locus Standi. We also examine the contributions of pioneers like Justice V R Krishna Iyer and Justice P N Bhagwati.
