Review of the MFJ 1888 MC.
MFJ can provide you everything from amplifiers to antenna tuner‘s from antennas to noise cancelers.

4 Ham Transceivers OR Shortwave receivers SIMULTANEOUSLY LISTENING on ONE Loop Antenna?
You Bet!
At 14:50 I meant to say “if you do have a directional antenna.“ Unfortunately, what it sounds like is “if you don’t have a directional antenna none of the supplies.“ A directional antenna makes using a loop antenna useless. The directional does all the work then.
But if you don’t have a directional antenna. A you need a loop.
This is a multicoupler designed to allow you to connect up to four receivers to one magnetic loop receive antenna. The MFJ 1888 MC does this without losing any of the gain, noise floor reduction and benefits that a loop antenna provides.
This is my review of using this multicoupler with the Yaesu FTDX 101 MP, the Kenwood TS 2000, a Tecsun PL-880 receiver and a Sony ICF SW 100 Shortwave receiver.
Connecting all four provided no loss in gain, or noise floor reduction of the MFJ 1888 receive loop antenna.
This multicoupler will also work with the MFJ 1786 and 1788 Recceive/Transmit loop antennas, but be sure to only connect it to a “RECEIVE” input connection of your ham radio ONLY!
DON’T TRANSMIT INTO IT!
If you transmit any power into the MFJ 1888 MC and or ANY receive only loop antenna, it will not only damage the MFJ 1888 MC multicoupler, but also destroy your loop receive antenna.
Using a receive loop on your ham radio rings in signals your vertical or dipole can’t hear because of the environmental noise those antennas pick up.
Almost 50 years of DX receiving has taught me the great benefit that a receive loop antenna can bring to your ham radio.
A receive loop antenna in my opinion is the most forgotten “must have“ for any ham shack.
