Oh look! Another rare occasion of commenting on my videos in the description!

This is the first of a couple of OST 8 cinematics I did, and I was originally going to wait on the thumbnail to finish for Monday Not Sick Anymore, but I just decided that, with no need to commission on a thumbnail for this one, I figured I could go ahead and release this right away until then.

Unlike Monday Not Sick Anymore, the green screen for this was only used once to get the light shows behind me, and I used Davinci Resolve’s Fusion for this to see if I could have a little more control over how much green residue I could remove. While about every Beat Saber cinematics I have done was wholly gameplay (with some focus on the light shows), I have decided to add some random acts that were in 1:37, 1:40, 1:44, 1:51, 2:23, & 2:35 just to spice it up a little bit. As for the color-changing parts, I’ve decided that I went a little further and re-colored the walls for the moment when my note color changes, but I’m hoping this will lead me to changing the block colors for this particular moment, similar to some of the Chroma/Noodle maps I played, where the notes gradually change color. Oh, and these parts use the “Notes Only” color type override option that was introduced in 1.40 & used with my Enter Sandman cinematic. A nice QoL improvement, in my opinion, which means no more having to re-create the lighting colors.

Speaking of changing things, one issue I ran into, which I’m hoping to fix in a future video, is that when changing the avatar’s eyes, the smoke changes (it should be obvious at 1:14), and when masking the eyes, the stray debris gets in the way.
