This is a quick audio test of a Rode NT3 Hyper Cardioid Condenser Mic. It has an XLR plug at the bottom of the mic and can be powered by a 9 volt battery or 24-48 Volt Phantom power. It's a nice, well made microphone that really feels substantial
I'm using a very inexpensive iRig Pre (PreAmpilfier) to attach the Rode NT3 into an iPhone 4S, to record the sound. Then, the sound is brought into my Camtasia Video Editing Software and added to the video portion which was shot with a Sony A6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera.
