Summary:

Skylar Argent grew up in a family of well-known vampire hunters. Her parents taught her how to kill a vampire at a young age. When Skylar was 16, she went vampire hunting and her parents found out how good she was. She could hit a vampire, from far away, with bow and arrow, injuring it enough to get caught.
Now Skylar, and her family, are moving to Mystic Falls, where there has been rumors of vampires there. The town is strange, and Skylar could tell there had been vampires there. Although the sheriff welcomes them, it seems, to Skylar, that Sheriff Forbes doesn't want them there. Soon Skylar meets Jeremy Gilbert and they have a connection. From there on out, her life is turned upside down.
