Specialized Roll Sport vs. Elite: Exploring Their Similarities and Differences (Which is Superior?)

The main difference between Roll Sport and Elite is their gear range. Specifically, the key difference lies within their drivetrain or their range of gears. The Roll Sport comes with a 2x7 Shimano gear set. The front and rear derailleurs are built by Tourney while the shifters are Shimano Altus. In the bike world, Tourney and Altus are less reliable compared to higher end gears such as SRAM. On the other hand, the Roll Elite – which is more on the high end –is fitted with a 1x9 drivetrain built by MICROSHIFT Advent which shifts smoother and is more durable. Additionally, the 1x9 is easier to operate as gears are only on the rear. Like the Roll Sport, Elite also uses Shimano Altus shifters.
