System Overview:
Inverter: Hybrid inverter, model SUN-50K-SG04LP3-EU or similar)
Battery Bank: 106 kWh of WECO lithium batteries (48 V nominal)
✅ Compatibility and Sizing Check:
Voltage Match:Both the Deye inverter and the WECO batteries are 48 V, which is good for compatibility.
The 50 kW Deye hybrid inverter generally supports high-voltage batteries, not low-voltage 48 V.
Important: If you're using a 50 kW inverter, it’s almost certainly a high-voltage model. WECO also makes HV batteries — so please confirm if your battery stack is HV (e.g., stacked 48V units forming a 192–512V bank) or LV (purely 48 V).
Battery Capacity vs Inverter Power:
106 kWh / 50 kW = ~2.1 hours of full-load runtime.
That’s decent if you expect periodic load shedding, off-grid usage, or peak shaving.
Battery Communication:
Check if the WECO batteries have CAN/RS485 communication support for Deye.
WECO lists compatibility with Deye, but check firmware versions and proper CAN settings in both devices.
Charge/Discharge Limits:
Make sure your batteries can handle the charge/discharge current that a 50 kW inverter will demand. If not, current limiting settings will need to be applied in the inverter.
📌 Recommendations:
Confirm Voltage Class: Is your battery bank configured for HV (likely needed) or LV? A 48 V system is not typically paired with a 50 kW inverter unless configured as a high-voltage stack.
Parallel Batteries: If using multiple 48 V modules, ensure proper BMS communication, battery balancing, and cable sizing.
Protection: Add DC breakers/fuses, surge protection, and ensure proper grounding for safety and performance.
