Austin Gentry - Preludes, Book I (2020)

Описание: This is a revision of the 24 preludes I wrote back in 2020. Rather than being arranged by key like in most other sets, these were arranged in an order in which each one "sounds nice after the last one", whether that be a complete change of style between preludes, change of key, or change of tempo; as a result, the set works well being performed altogether. Two of these were written back in 2015, The Storm (No.1) and Snowflake (No. 6), and Starlight (No. 15) was written in 2019 - I included them where they seemed to fit. The original set was written on Noteflight during the pandemic and I thought it was time for them to be improved, both in playability and visually, so I redid all of them from the ground up in MuseScore. I made sure to learn each and every one of them, and add anything in the score that may help the performer from my own experiences. In 2021, I wrote a second set of 24 preludes, this time one in each key (in the same way Chopin ordered his preludes). I'm looking to also revise those in the future too, we'll see when.
